Abstract
This study aims to analyze in depth the stages of customer credit feasibility assessment and identify operational constraints in mitigating Non-Performing Loan (NPL) risks at Bank Sulselbar, Gowa Regency Branch. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with account officers and the credit committee, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that the credit feasibility process comprises six structured stages, with primary emphasis on evaluating the 5C principles (Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, and Condition of Economy). The evaluation of Character and Capacity proves to be the most crucial filter in reducing potential non-performing loans. Nevertheless, the analysis process still faces constraints such as incomplete documentation, unseparated customer financial records, and invalid customer data. These constraints are addressed through third-party cross-verification, simplification of MSME financial reports, and the optimization of OJK's SLIK data.
